Bamako International Forum on Multilingualism, 19-21 January 2009
Keynote address at the Bamako International Forum on Multilingualism, 19 to 21 January 2009 in Bamako (Mali), organized by the African Academy of Languages (ACALAN, the African Union), under the MAAYA Network (World Network for Linguistic Diversity), in partnership with UNESCO, OIF, the Latin Union and international institutions representing the various geo-linguistic areas of the world, as well as other stakeholders involved in linguistic diversity. The Forum is a first step towards a World Summit on Multilingualism.
